Senior .NET/C# Developer
Location: Cork, Ireland
Position: Permanent | Full Time | Hybrid
Salary: €65,000 – 75,000

Role Overview:
You’ll work directly with client teams to support, enhance and modernise existing applications and develop new solutions using the .NET ecosystem. Your focus will be hands-on software development with C# / .NET and you’ll also engage in consulting with clients, helping shape the technical direction of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain applications leveraging C# and the .NET framework.
- Develop robust ASP.NET (MVC / Web API) solutions for client consumption
- Build and consume microservices and multi-bus message-based integration (service bus, messaging frameworks)
- Perform large data transformations, data service extracts, integration with SQL databases and data reporting
- Implement orchestration and transformation patterns (e.g., workflow, message orchestration)
- Write clean, unit-tested, well-documented code and follow continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Collaborate with broader Microsoft-technology stack (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Azure services)
- Provide senior technical presence within the team; assist with escalations, mentor others and influence best-practice guidelines
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong commercial experience in .NET / C# development (ASP.NET, Web API)
- Proficiency in JavaScript and SQL (T-SQL)
- Experience in team-based development and providing senior/lead presence
- Significant exposure to data transformations/integrations (extracts, reports, services)
- Experience in multi-bus messaging system development and/or message-oriented middleware
- Microservices architecture and orchestration experience
- Solid CI/CD and unit testing experience
- Good working knowledge of the wider Microsoft technology stack (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, Azure Functions, etc.)
Desirable:
- Experience modernising legacy .NET applications to newer .NET versions or cloud-native patterns
- Familiarity with Azure (or AWS) cloud services
- Experience with containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)
- Good documentation skills focussed on end-user/consumer documentation
